Straight Dolly Track – Steel
Our Straight Steel Dolly Track is round-rail track, either Matthews Studio Equipment or American Grip brand. Stainless steel rails, rigid cross-members, and precision manufacturing ensure smooth dolly moves and seamless transitions across track sections, with minimal noise and near-zero shakes, bumps, or wobbles.
Straight dolly track is available in a variety of lengths that can be combined to fit in nearly any space. Each track section has a 24.5-inch spacing, the standard width used on nearly all ride-on dollies including Fisher and Chapman. Dolly track is designed to fold for transport, making the length of each section approximately 2 feet longer and reducing the width to just a few inches. An 8-foot section of steel track typically weighs about 35 pounds. Steel dolly track is rated for a maximum payload of 1200 pounds.
A dolly starter track is designed to provide a gentle ramp between the ground and the dolly track. Dolly track can be used without a starter, but the dolly will need to be lifted onto the track. The height of standard dolly track is approximately 2.375 inches.
