Occupying the middle of the standard “Trinity” of focal lengths, it covers from wide to the start of the telephoto range. The centerpiece of Sony’s robust G Master lineup, the FE 24-70mm f2.8 GM features the same robust and weather-resistant designs as the rest of the series.
The Sony FE 24-70mm II f/2.8 GM II was a natural improvement on the first edition, offering faster autofocus and sharper optics inside a much smaller package. The option for Manual Aperture on the version II also makes it an even better tool for those using it for videography.
If you can get more than one lens, the Sony 16-35mm and 70-200mm pair well and are the other go-to lenses of this series.
