The ARRI WCU-4 (also called WCU4 or Wireless Control Unit 4) is a high-end wireless hand unit for pulling Focus, Iris, and Zoom with ARRI cForce motors. The WCU-4 is a battle-tested, rugged, reliable hand unit by Arri, that is easy to use and effective even across long distances and in busy RF environments. The wireless follow focus device can control focus, iris, and zoom motors independently and simultaneously. It supports remote record trigger, remote tally, playback, and can display electronic lens information when supported by the camera and lens mount.
Pair wirelessly with the UMC-4 or Arri RF motor to use on any camera setup, or connect it directly to an Arri camera. The Arri WCU-4 can be used with Cinetape for even easier focus pulling on dolly shots or slow camera movements.
For productions that need just one motor channel, we also rent the Arri SXU-1. While the WCU-4 is still supported and actively used, in 2021 ARRI released an updated wireless control unit, the Arri Hi-5.
