Manfrotto Photo Tripod X-Pro 3-Way
The Manfrotto Photo Tripod system includes aluminum Manfrotto 055 tripod legs and a Manfrotto X-Pro 3-way fluid ball head. The system has a maximum height of about 70 inches, a minimum standard height of around 24 inches, and can be configured with the center column inverted for ground-level shots. The aluminum legs have three sections and each of them lock with a lever. It uses a Manfrotto quick release plate (200PL-14) with 1/4″-20 mounting screw. When collapsed, the photo tripod with head is about 28 inches long. It weighs about 8 pounds.
Unlike video, photo tripod heads are designed to easily roll the camera 90 degrees, for portrait mode shooting. While photo tripods are typically made for lightweight rigs, this Manfrotto X-Pro 3-way head can support more than 17 pounds, and the tripod legs are rated for up to 44 pounds.
